Weekend Recap | 3.1.2020

Sunday, March 1, 2020

Hey Everyone! I hope ya'll had a great weekend. I know our's definitely flew by too fast. We didn't have much on the agenda, but it was still too quick. The second you finally get caught up, and have a minute to relax, it's time to start Monday morning prep.

Eric works every Saturday morning until noon. Usually we use this time to get up and work around the house, or run a few errands before he gets home. Well, somehow I ended up sleeping until 10:30. I guess I really need to sleep. #oops!

We received a gift card from Eric's work for a new restaurant near us we have been wanting to try. It's in an extremely residential area. You would never know it was a restaurant if you didn't know about it.  We fdecided to head out as a family for a few errands and to pick up lunch from there. I snapped a few pictures of the inside while we were waiting on our food. It is a restaurant dedicated to Veterans. It was so awesome! It was like walking into a saloon.

My favorite part was the table they had set for the POW/MIA soldiers.

There was so much history on these walls. We had a great time just walking around and reading each thing while we waited on our order. Not to mention, the food was delicious. We will definitely be back ASAP!

Last weekend L&C had planned to have a sleep over with my in laws. However, Eric's dad and I both ended up with Flu A. So they ended up spending all last weekend with my parents. So on Saturday, L&C had a slumber party with Mimi and Poppy. They took them to Chick Fil A for dinner, and to their very first movie in theaters. They went to see Sonic the Hedgehog.

This was the only photo I got of their time with the grandparents, but I was assured there was lots of fun. They played over 100 games of Memory and swam in the hot tub. They had the best time!

So what do two childless parents do for a wild Saturday night?

We hit up the Target Drive Up for groceries and go change his mom's air filter for her in our PJs, only to be in bed by 10. Please don't envy us! haha

Sunday after the kids came home, we got started on getting ready for the week. Eric left to go to the gym. He started a new workout that will allow him to skip on Mondays to help me shuffle kids to sports. #allthesports

While he was gone, the kids worked on their rooms, and I was able to get the rest of the house reset.

Izzie sat on the wall and supervised.

My friend told me I needed to watch Love is Blind on Netflix. I watched the first two episodes while I cleaned. I think I like it so far. Has anyone else watched it?

Sunday Afternoon, I received a text from Logan's new softball coach. We are so excited for her to begin. Between softball, tumble, and Colt's ninja warrior we have a full schedule. I told Eric the other day, "Welcome to our parents' lives". 😂

I hope everyone has a great week this week!

Until Next Time...
