Friday Favorites

Friday, June 12, 2020

Hey Everyone! We made it to Friday!! I don't know about you, but I feel like this has been the longest week ever. It was my first full week back to the office. I think I am just tired.

We have a very full weekend ahead of us. Lots of birthday partying is going to take place. We even have a trip to Nashville that Logan and I are very excited about. I decided to take Monday off so I can lay by the pool with the kiddos and relax.

Today i'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites. I have lots of randomness for you, so follow along.

Eric's shirt my mom bought him. They both think it is hilarious. She's basically thanking him for not selling me to the circus...I'm pretty sure his parents owe me the same shirt. haha

My new Yeti wine tumbler. I purchased it from Amazon. The only thing that I did not like was it did not come with a lid. I can order one, but I thought it should have been included.

The kids had art day at Nana's house.

Logan hand drew her turtle and then painted it. She loves art.

Colt decided he wanted to paint a picture of Skylar. He loves and misses his older sister so much. Please note the ballerina doll in his hand to show what she should look like. 😊

Working in Downtown Knoxville makes for beautiful walks during lunch. Today my friend, Jamie, and I walked through Downtown Knoxville, down by the Tennessee River, through the University of Tennessee, and The World's Fair park (the World's Fair was here in 1982).  Check out the beautiful pictures during our walks.

This wall painted leading down to the river front.

Not the best picture, but this is the Tennessee River Boat.

The Tennessee River right next to the University of Tennessee. On game days this dock is stacked with the boats in the Vol Navy. Its really cool to experience. Also, this is where fireworks are shot off after each touchdown in Neyland Stadium.

Another shot down the Tennessee River.

Waterfalls are throughout the river front. This is were Eric and I had our engagement pictures taken.

The World's Fair Sunsphere. The views from inside are so amazing! It has a observation deck, reception hall, and it use to have a bar. I'm not sure if the bar is still open, but it was so beautiful to go in the evening and look out over all the city lights.

I tried to get some good pictures of the University of Tennessee, but we were always at awkward angles.

This is probably one of my favorite things about Knoxville. Everything is such centrally located to Downtown Knoxville. So many landmarks are right within a few miles walking distance.

We were able to experience all these sights in 50 minutes, and walking 2.61 miles to and from our office.

We've been doing lots of swimming. These goggles were recommended by L&C's swim teacher last year. They made the biggest difference in their learning to swim. I keep at least four pairs in pool bag at all times.

That is all I have for you today. Be sure and check out my weekend recap on Monday!

Until Next Time...

  1. I’m pretty sure my Farmer and I both need that shirt. Lol. And your lunchtime walk looks wonderful. I’m not back to the office yet. I’m looking forward to it in some ways for sure. Happy weekend!

    1. Being back in the office has been an adjustment, but I never realized how much I missed the routine until I returned. I hope you have a great weekend, and thank you for reading!!
